This hosta has blue colored leaves with a yellow stripe mostly down the center of the leaf, with a light green to blue color slightly coming through on the leaf in between the other two colors. Leaves are heart-shaped. In the summer, purple/lavender flowers develop above the foliage.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Hostas grow best in moist, well drained, sandy soils, were the roots can get plenty of aeration. Prefer full shade but can tolerate a little morning sun, but most afternoon suns will burn and kill the leaves of the hosta.

Divide large clumps, if necessary, in spring when sprouts appear, or late summer. Remove dead foliage from the garden in late fall to early winter.

Water Requirements: Water soil fully, then let soil get moist/dry before watering. Do not let dry out, but also can not be soaked or waterlogged.
