  • Pot Size: 4.5 Inch Pot
  • Common Name: ZZ Plant
  • Light Requirements: Low Light Tolerant
  • Growth Habit: Upright
  • Water Requirements: Low
  • Expertise Level: Beginner Friendly

This is a tried and true, hard-to-kill houseplant. It tolerates low light, forgives going dry on occasion, and rarely needs feeding. In addition, it seems to rarely struggle with pest infestations. The thick stems grow from rhizomes at the base of the plant and bear oval-shaped glossy green leaves. You can wipe them clean with a damp cloth if needed for dusting, but do not use leaf shine as it can be damaging on this particular plant. Repot only when absolutely necessary as it prefers to be somewhat root-bound. This plant likes to dry out between waterings and does not like to stay wet.

Botanical Name: Zamioculcas zamiifolia
Toxicity: Mildly Toxic

Avoid contact with the plant sap as it can be mildly irritating.
