Perfect little plants

The Torenia arrived in great shape and were planted immediately. They are thriving in my raised bed where I expect they will be cascading over the sides in no time.

Happy Plants, Happy Me!

On July 24 I ordered 15 Torenia Summer Wave Large Violet for on our front porch. They were delivered on July 30. They were supposed to be delivered on July 27, but (as usual) FedEx dragged their feet and did not deliver them till July 30. All the while being hot here in Georgia, so I was worried about the plants arriving dead or close to it. But... they came in excellent shape! Very well packed, no soil spilled, and no breakage of stems or leaves, or wilting. I was happily surprised by the size of the plants and how many flowers they carried. They were very pretty! After about ten days, they had no flowers anymore, but I kept pampering them, giving them the right amount of water, shade, sunlight, etc. I realized they had to establish themselves and that while the Georgia heat had been close to 100 degrees lately, so the circumstances for them were far from ideal. They stayed strong and green though, and I did notice new flower buds growing. Today, after a week of no flowers at all, and a day or two with cooler temperatures, they started flowering again. I'm confident I purchased quality Torenias from Romence Gardens. And the butterflies, bumblebees, and Hummingbirds are enjoying them too!
