Homeowner Growing Tips

Grow in full or partial sun, in moist, well-drained soil. Amend with compost before planting. Apply only a thin layer of mulch around the plant. Avoid allowing larger plants to crowd it out. May be deadheaded after blooming, if desired. Keep moist during the heat of summer. Divide every 2-3 years in spring.

Large plant

Great plants! I just received two of these and they are large healthy clumps. I love blue eyed grass so I am excited to see these bloom next year. I have a couple of Sisyrinchium “Suwannee” plants that I adore and the foliage growth of this plant is very similar, which is great. (I had tried another variety in the past that had purple flowers, like this, but the plant was sparse and leggy and therefore did not look as pretty.)
