It typically grows in damp areas like grasslands, woodland borders, meadows, thickets, and seeps. The erect, clump-forming Physostegia virginiana 'Pink Manners' plant has glossy, deep-green leaves. It has four-sided stems crowned with spires of light rose-pink blossoms. If deadheaded, "Pink Manners" has good repeat blooming and superb branching.
