Liriope spicata is a semi-evergreen, grass-like groundcover that will grow just about anywhere. The dark green leaves grow 8"-12" tall and will tolerate full sun to shade. The pale lavender flowers appear in the middle of summer. Great lawn substitute. Try underplanting with Grape Hyacinths for a lawn that blooms twice a season!
