Homeowner Growing Tips: Grow in full sun to light shade. Bearded Irises prefer well-drained, fertile, slightly alkaline to slightly acidic soils. Plant shallow, with top of rhizome exposed above the soil line. A light mulch may be used if applied in a thin layer around the plants but not covering the rhizomes. Fertilize with granular bulb food in early spring and after flowering; scratch into the top inch or two of the soil. Divide plants every three years, in August.

These are great! I saw these in someones landscape last fall and admired the foliage not knowing that they were an Iris that would bloom in the spring! They look interesting all year long! I could only find the green/yellow version locally so voila...Romence Gardens hooked me up. Plants came healthy and large. Thank you.

Iris sibirica 'Butter and Sugar'

They arrived undamaged and ready to plant. However, we keep the iris watered and in the shade due to the hot and humid weather and plant the iris in late fall. I am confident they will grow well and produce many flowers in 2023.
