Iris 'Batik' features royal purple flowers with wildly irregular variegation. White markings are spattered and streaked over the entire flower. Very unique and distinctive.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Grow in full sun to light shade. Bearded Irises prefer well-drained, fertile, slightly alkaline to slightly acidic soils. Plant shallow, with top of rhizome exposed above the soil line. A light mulch may be used, if applied in a thin layer around the plants, but not covering the rhizomes. Fertilize with granular bulb food in early spring and after flowering; scratch into the top inch or two of the soil. Divide plants every three years, in August.
