Heuchera 'Lemon Love' is a standout in the garden not only because of its vibrant color but also because of its durability. This variety shows little to no burning when planted in dappled or part shade, unlike most other chartreuse-colored Heucheras. The foliage is somewhat ruffled and will be more lime green in color when planted in deeper shade. In summer, cream-colored flowers appear on tall stalks above the mounded foliage. This is a great choice to add a pop of color to the landscape. Grows very well in the southeast states. Hybrid of U.S. native Heuchera villosa.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Coral Bells prefer moist, well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil. Amend with compost before planting. They will take sun or partial shade, though afternoon shade is required in hot regions to prevent leaf scorch. In cold climates, mulch well, after the ground freezes. If the plants heave due to frost, carefully press back into place in spring. Heucheras generally need to be divided and replanted every 3 years, burying the woody rootstock and keeping the crowns above the soil surface. Can be grown under Black Walnut trees.

Veri nice plant

We received a fresh, very healthy plant, which was larger than expected. The leaf color was actually light green, not lemony and stayed green even with 4 hours of morning sun. Adapted well and is currently sleeping under snow cover.
