Geranium pratense 'Boom Chocolatta' brings rich color and texture to the perennial garden. The dark bronze foliage enhances the deep periwinkle petals. This variety has more of an upright habit, is a vigorous grower, and makes a great contrast with other landscape plants.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Cranesbill is generally an easy and adaptable plant. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and can tolerate periods of drought once established. Good in alkaline soils. If grown in too much shade the plant will become less compact and produce fewer flowers. If foliage begins to look ragged in late summer, trim it back; it will fill out again with new growth. Does not prefer southern climates with hot, humid summers.
