Sweet Woodruff is a very valuable ground cover for shady, damp locations. Fragrant, bright white, star-shaped, flowers appear in late spring above the deeply cut fragrant foliage. It is easy to establish and spreads well without being invasive. An outstanding and popular groundcover!

Large, healthy plant

The plant I received is large, healthy, and very full. I grew up with sweet woodruff in my backyard as a kid and I am so excited to add it to my garden.

lush and full in proper conditions

Romence's galium takes off the moment it is planted, and keeps going as long as it gets adequate moisture. Within a year, the plants I set on 8" centers in an area I regularly water filled in completely for a full, healthy carpet. The plants that I put in an area that gets less moisture did less well -- they held on, but didn't spread. Also, remember to put a few sprigs of woodruff into a bottle of white wine in the early spring for a traditional flavor boost.
