Gigantic grass that has a superb upright, arching habit. The foliage reaches a height of 5 feet and in the fall turns shades of orange, tan, beige, and purple. The feathery plumes appear in late summer and are atop tall stems, high above the leaves. Flowers are silvery with a hint of purple and fade to white in the fall. It is deer resistant, as well as drought and salt tolerant. This is a grass that will attract a lot of attention and deserves to be in a place where it can be the focal point. Also known as Saccharum ravennae.
