Dianthus American Pie® 'Key Lime Pie' is an excellent hardy variety with beautiful long-lasting flowers. The blossoms are white with apple green centers and sit atop sturdy stems that will not flop. It makes a fantastic cut flower, not only for its beauty, but it also has a nice fragrance. Use in containers, borders, and landscapes for a pop of elegance.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Provide a spot in full sun. Amend soil with compost and a sprinkling of lime before planting. Dianthus prefer good drainage, especially in winter, so planting on a slight mound can help. A thin layer of gravel or stone chips on top of the soil is preferable to wood mulches or leaves. Deadhead throughout the season to prolong blooming.
