Cuphea hybrid 'Vermillionaire®'

Vermillionaire Cuphea is truly a hummingbird magnet. Every year it’s their top choice out of all the different plants in my garden. I’ve tried other cuphea but nothing compares to this. I grow these in containers, which are placed near the front windows and kitchen windows so we can enjoy watching the hummingbirds quite closely. I trim them back (to about half the height) a week or two after planting to encourage a bushier thicker plant. This is the first year I purchased from Romence Gardens. The way they package their plants for shipping is top quality! Not exaggerating. It’s the best and ensures your plants are securely fastened. These plants from Romence are great quality and healthy.

Such a great plant. Was skeptical they would attract hummingbirds up here in Massachusetts but they did. I have to grow these as an annual. Romence packed and shipped these well and has great service. My own peeve was the fedex guy intentionally leaving my package upside down even though the box said live plants with arrows saying how to position.

Shipping was slower than cold molasses. I was led to believe that it had been shipped two or three times by notifications but it finally arrived. Packaging was fantastic. The two plants were small but very healthy and green and even had a couple of small flowers on them. I have potted them and now waiting for them to grow

The plant looked very distressed when first received. After repotting and some water it revived. Now looks very healthy and vibrant and is blooming. Highly recommend this colorful plant. Customer service is great from this company. Very happy with purchase.

The last two years I have finally purchased these for my hummingbird garden. I have them in a large combination planter and they grow so beautifully and they love them. I just wish they were a perennial.

I had watched a Proven Winner video about these flowers and just had to try them. The plants grew great, loaded with flowers, unfortunately I did not see all the hummingbirds Proven Winners said they would attract. I did like the flowers and will buy these again.

I ordered from Romence Gardens for the first time this year. I needed plants to support our summer resident ruby-throated hummingbirds. These vermillionaire plants did very well. They filled out nicely and attracted hummingbirds and insect pollinators. The plants are still going strong in mid-October!

I call this plant my hummingbird magnet....they love it . It is just about ending and our nights have been cold....I will keep buying this until you don't have it.

It started small but boy did it end up large. I planted it in a pot. Also hummingbirds and bees love it.

It just isn't growing as big as it normally would have here. We have had some really warm days and lately quite a bit of rain. I used the same kind of potting mix, etc. I love this plant and buy it for the hummingbirds.

I bought one of these plants from Romence Gardens about 3 years ago. It did so well in my yard and attracted several hummingbirds which visited daily. I recently moved to a different state and was thrilled to see these were still available. I just recently purchased 3. The plants arrived very healthy and I already have some hummingbirds visiting them in my new yard!
