Caladiums are generally divided into two different types - Fancy and Strap or Lance leaf types. Fancy forms have heart-shaped leaves, while Strap forms have narrow foliage. Homeowner Growing Tips

Caladiums are generally adaptable as houseplants where they prefer bright light or a sunny window.

Outdoors: Caladiums prefer heat and humidity and will not tolerate cold soggy soils well. Northern gardeners will have better results growing them in containers. For best growth keep the temperatures above 65 F.
