Brings wonderful texture and color to the shade garden. The fronds are similar in color to traditional Japanese Painted Ferns, but with double-crested frond tips. It has a vigorous growth habit and works well in containers as well as the landscape.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Plant in the shade or part sun. Best in acidic to neutral soil; amend with compost before planting, and apply a layer of mulch, pine needles, or chopped leaves afterward. Provide consistant moisture, especially through the heat of summer. Remove spent fronds in early spring, when new growth is 6" high. Divide in spring as new leaves unfurl, if needed.
