Best packaging I ever saw, plants are perfect. Great company.

I couldn't have purchased plants in better condition, even if I had purchased them from a local garden center. The packaging was the best I've ever encountered when purchasing online. The salvia specimens are now thriving: they were blooming within one week of planting! I will certainly be a continuing customer.

Nice healthy plant.

This is the fourth year that the plants have returned. Each year they grow to five or six feet high and five or six feet wide. They are superstars! It is the best money I have ever spent on plants. I love them. My son's yard has the black and purple ones and they return every year also! Way to go Romance!

I purchased three black and blooms, along with three purple and bloom plants in April. Romance gardens has exceeded my expectations for mail order plants. I have bought a lot of plants on line and have had many show up dead, very small or totally destroyed. I saw the UPS driver throw the box on my sidewalk upside down and thought the plants were going to be destroyed. All six of the plants were in perfect condition with only a small amount of dirt that had fallen out of the pot. The plants are beautiful and have not skipped a beat after planting two days later. They are healthy and strong, growing beautifully. Totally amazing.
If you haven’t grown these salvias buy some. I have been slowly filling my yard with them. I live in the high desert with extreme heat and then cold. Even snow. Zone 7-8. They come back every year. They love the sun, tolerate some shade, and seem to prefer a little more moisture than other salvias. I mulch them with a little compost and cover them in leaves for the winter. Buy three plant and group them together. They make a beautiful tall bouquet of beautiful flowers that bees can’t resist. You can’t go wrong with these beauties!
Wow! I just got my second plant order from Romence. This time purple and bloom salvia and nepeta. The plants were even bigger and healthier than the first order!

The black and bloom salvia has been a superb bloomer, exotic looking at 4 ft tall. The bees love these plants and hover all day - dawn to dusk.
I live in Planting Zone 6a == technically this species is not winter hardy in Kentucky. However, I take a chance every year that one or more of my group of three plants will reappear the following year. If I lose one to extreme cold, it's well worth the cost of a new plant to enjoy the display and the insects. This plant arrived healthy and quickly grew to its full height and width (about 3.5 ft).
Romence Gardens is attentive to its customers and sends updates about delivery times, important in the trying times of 2020.

I've enjoyed these plants so much this year. The plants arrived with the best packaging I've ever seen and the plants were so healthy! Gargantuan is the perfect name for these plants. They take up a huge hole in my garden and fill it with stunning color and hummingbirds. Will definitely repurchase these next year and Romence Garden is now my go to online plant supplier!

I decided to give "Black & Bloom" a try based on the description and I've been absolutely thrilled with it.

First of all, all the plants I received from Romence Gardens (this was my first order) were larger and healthier than any I've ever received from any other nursery.

These were blooming from the get-go and the plants grew larger and more prolific as the season progressed. As of this review, mid-Sept., they're huge! The Hummers go crazy for the blooms and visit this plant more frequently than any other plant in my yard, literally all day long.

Black & Bloom is an annual in my area so I sure hope Romence has them again next year and the next and the next for years to come. Thank you Romence Gardens!!

Beautiful healthy plants on arrival that bloomed magnificently in the late summer months. Hope to store them over the winter for planting next year.

This plant has exceeded my expectations and then some. It grew tall (some up to 5 feet) and just as wide, so give it plenty of room. The color is a deep intense indigo blue. As of October 12 my black and bloom salvia is in full bloom. I deadheaded spent blooms a few times over the summer, and it immediately bloomed its heart out again and again. The best feature of all is how much the hummingbirds love this plant. They much prefer it to my feeders! This plant is a winner all around.

A very eye catching Salvia! Deep purple blossoms with black stems and beautiful deeply variegated leaves. I have hummingbird feeders nearby but I believe they liked this Salvia's blossoms better!
