    Pennisetum 'Burgundy Bunny' is a petite plant that is short in stature and works great in containers and tucking into small spaces in the garden. It has one of the best red colorings out of all of the miniature varieties. In the summer it is red followed by blazing red in the fall. Tufted, cream plumes appear in late summer.

    Grow in full sun, in moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Cut back dead foliage by early spring. In cold northern climates, site in a protected area and apply mulch for the winter.

    Beautiful, low, colorful and perfect shape. For me in western Pa. this one got red pretty fast well before it bloomed.
