Beautiful semi-double pink flowers are edged with burgundy on this extremely heat-tolerant plant. The large flowers bloom in spring and then will continue throughout the summer and into fall with deadheading. This is a great choice for small gardens, borders, edging, and containers.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Provide a spot in full sun. Amend soil with compost and a sprinkling of lime before planting. Dianthus prefers good drainage, especially in winter, so planting on a slight mound can help. A thin layer of gravel or stone chips on top of the soil is preferable to wood mulches or leaves. Deadhead throughout the season to prolong blooming.
