Athyrium x 'Ghost' is a result of a cross between the Japanese Painted Fern and Lady Fern. It gets its silvery cast from the Painted Fern and its upright habit from the Lady Fern. The fronds emit a ghostly white light in the shade adding brightness to the dark shady garden.
