The beautiful lavender-blue flowers of Aster laevis 'Bluebird' add wonderful color to the late summer garden and are an excellent source of nectar for migrating monarch butterflies. The flowers are held in clusters atop the tall, clean foliage. This aster species is native to fields and prairies in much of the eastern United States. Also known as Symphyotrichum laeve 'Bluebird'.
