Absolutely ideal for growing in attractive containers, this resilient Red Switch Grass is a perennial replacement for Pennisetum 'Rubrum'. The blue-green foliage of "Cheyenne Sky" grows tightly into a vase-shaped clump and starts to turn burgundy red in the early summer. Switch grass is so named because of the tranquil swishing sound it creates in the breeze.
