Homeowner Growing Tips

This variety is low maintenance and grows in a lovely bushy habit all on its own, but pinching plants before July will keep them especially low and compact. Most Asters will be troubled much less with powdery mildew when grown in a moist, rich soil.

Divide ever few years to keep the plant healthy. Trim the plant back almost to ground in late winter or early spring before plants begin to grow.

Water Requirements: Water soil fully, then let soil get moist/dry before next watering.
