Ajania pacifica is an excellent ground cover. It forms dense mounds of silvery green foliage. This Chrysanthemum relative is mainly grown for its fantastic foliage and excellent spreading habit, but it does produce yellow button-like flowers in the fall. A great choice for rock gardens or even in containers if spreading is not desired.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Grow in full sun, or part-shade in southern climates, in very well-drained soil. Pinch back growing tips in June to promote a bushier plant. Provide winter mulch in Zone 5.

Nice Plants

Got a bunch of these plants in late Fall, 2019. Now that they've had time to bet establish they're making nice mounts of vegetation here in late Spring/early Summer. All survived the shipping ordeal well.

Looking forward to seeing how the bees respond to the flowers when they blossom late fall when little else is available for them.

I've always had good success with plants shipped to me by Romence. Much appreciated your carrying this somewhat uncommon bee-nourishing plant.
