A gorgeous array of pink, purple, and red flowers emerges throughout the summer on thin spikes. The green leaves are narrow and run along the stem. Great plant that adds bold color to the landscape. Native to the southwestern U.S.

Grow in full sun to light shade in well-drained, fertile soil. Amend with compost before planting. Roots can not be in soggy or waterlogged soil, will otherwise develop root rot.

Deadhead after flowering. In cold climates, mulch for the winter.
