'Magnus' has huge flat-top flowers with rose-pink petals and coppery-brown cones. Newer flowers have a more intense color, then soften to pale pink. Flowers are held on very strong stems with dark green foliage. Adaptable to poor dry soils. Adds winter interest if plants are left standing through the winter. The Perennial Plant Association 1998 Plant of the Year.
