This herb is used to flavor soups, salads, meats, and bean dishes. Used for flavorings in Mexican cuisine. It pairs well with other herbs such as oregano, cumin, and chilies.
The plant likes full sun, is not particular about soil, and grows from 1-3 feet tall. It has a strong, pungent odor.
This plant will reseed readily.
