Chives are one of the easiest herbs to grow. The grass-like foliage has a garlic smell and taste to it. Harvest chives by simply cutting back to about half the plant height. The white flowers are also edible and add great color to salads and other dishes. Continue cutting chives when needed and add to salads, baked potatoes, and soups.
