Super Salvia

The black and bloom salvia has been a superb bloomer, exotic looking at 4 ft tall. The bees love these plants and hover all day - dawn to dusk.
I live in Planting Zone 6a == technically this species is not winter hardy in Kentucky. However, I take a chance every year that one or more of my group of three plants will reappear the following year. If I lose one to extreme cold, it's well worth the cost of a new plant to enjoy the display and the insects. This plant arrived healthy and quickly grew to its full height and width (about 3.5 ft).
Romence Gardens is attentive to its customers and sends updates about delivery times, important in the trying times of 2020.
