Hosta 'Rainforest Sunrise' develops beautiful yellow/green foliage with dark green edges. In the summer, purple blooms emerge on stems above the foliage. The leaves have a slightly ruffled/bumpy texture throughout the whole foliage surface and the sides curve in a little towards the center.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Hostas grow best in moist, well drained, sandy soils, were the roots can get plenty of aeration. Prefer full shade but can tolerate a little morning sun, but most afternoon suns will burn and kill the leaves of the hosta.

Divide large clumps, if necessary, in spring when sprouts appear, or late summer. Remove dead foliage from the garden in late fall to early winter.

Water Requirements: Water soil fully, then let soil get moist/dry before watering. Do not let dry out, but also can not be soaked or waterlogged.
