Hosta ‘Rainforest Sunrise’ exhibits visually appealing foliage characterized by a striking combination of yellow and green hues, accented by dark green edges. During the summer season, the plant produces vibrant purple blooms that ascend above the foliage. Notably, the leaves possess a slightly ruffled or bumpy texture throughout their surface, and their sides exhibit a gradual inward curvature towards the center for a time.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Hostas grow best in moist, well drained, sandy soils, were the roots can get plenty of aeration. Prefer full shade but can tolerate a little morning sun, but most afternoon suns will burn and kill the leaves of the hosta.

Divide large clumps, if necessary, in spring when sprouts appear, or late summer. Remove dead foliage from the garden in late fall to early winter.

Water Requirements: Water soil fully, then let soil get moist/dry before watering. Do not let dry out, but also can not be soaked or waterlogged.
