Homeowner Growing Tips

Lupines thrive in rich, acidic, organic, sandy soils with good drainage and moderate moisture levels. Amend with compost and/or Canadian peat before planting. Lupines prefer cooler climates and benefit from a layer of mulch. Deadheading spent flowers will extend the bloom time where cooler climates allow and may also encourage repeat blooming.
