Sedum kamtschaticum features rich green, semi-evergreen foliage with bright orange-yellow flowers that appear in early summer. The toothed foliage forms a dense creeping mat that is suited for hot and dry sites. One of the most popular groundcover Sedums.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Grows well in full sun and well drained soils. Tolerates some light shade, especially in the hotter climates. Tolerates clay soil; does well in sandy or gravelly soils. This slow spreader is good for tucking between stepping stones, amongst rocks, or spilling over retaining walls. Cut back spent flower stems or dead foliage in late winter. Divide clumps every 3 years, if desired.


Water Requirements: Water soil fully, then et mostly dry out between waterings.
