Nepeta faassenii 'Junior Walker™' is low-growing, compact catmint that is a non-reseeding progeny of Nepeta Walker's Low. It has a tidy habit making it great for borders, containers, and along pathways. In late spring through the summer, lavender-blue flowers make an appearance above the fragrant foliage.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Grow in full sun, in well-drained soil. Provide some light shade in afternoon if grown in the South.

May be trimmed back before blooming to promote a more compact size. Shear after flowering to induce re-bloom. Divide in early summer, if necessary.

Broken stems release a fragrance that tend to attract cats. Leaf scent will deter deer and rabbits.

Water Requirements: Water soil fully, then let soil get moist/dry before watering. (once established)

I'm really impressed by how healthy these plants are! The packaging was amazing and kept them in great condition, they even came with flowers already on them. My only disappointment is how tiny they are for the price they felt a bit expensive. But a week later, they still look great, so we'll see how it goes I feel really happy!!

Very Good Plants

These are extremely nice plants and they were packed extremely well. I am very pleased. They have grown during the summer and look very healthy. I put them along a long sidewalk that curves down a hill. Our soil is clay-ish, so I added a bit of topsoil, but not much. I'm intending the plants to do without much care--or NO care-- and I think they really will.
