Enormous, fragrant and prolific

This was our second Happy Go Lucky Rose, planted near but not right next to the original. It bloomed right away, all the way through the season, and in fact is still blooming NOW, on October 30. It's had no disease, no insects, and NO Japanese beetles! It's a beauty just like its older sister.

Even though I sprayed it, the older Happy Go Lucky had some disease, not much, and a lot of Japanese beetles, but it bloomed steadily all season anyway. (I cut off all blooms damaged by Japanese beetles before they open.) The mature plant is well over 4 feet by 4 feet, loaded with big, fragrant bright yellow blooms on branches so heavy with flowers that they drag on the ground and need to be staked. It's a stunner: the most beautiful, healthy and prolific rose on the property. I'm in love with it.
