Rich, dark leaves form a dense mound and are perfect for adding texture and unique color to the landscape. The leaves are approximately 4" - 4 1/2" in size, are ruffled, and have rosy-purple undersides. Older leaves have a slight silvery overlay and all the foliage will remain black even in full sun! White flowers grace the plant in midsummer. Bred from the southern Heuchera villosa, it has a larger, faster-growing habit than plants in the DOLCE® Series.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Coral Bells prefer moist, well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil. Amend with compost before planting. They will take sun or partial shade, though afternoon shade is required in hot regions to prevent leaf scorch. In cold climates, mulch well, after the ground freezes. If the plants heave due to frost, carefully press back into place in spring. Heucheras generally need to be divided and replanted every 3 years, burying the woody rootstock and keeping the crowns above the soil surface.
