Homeowner Growing Tips

Grow in shade to part sun in average to moist, well drained soil; tolerant of alkaline soils & poor soils. Avoid rich soils; do not overfertilize. Deadheading may encourage additional blooming. Foliage may deteriorate with the heat of summer (or from sawflies), and may be cut to the ground at that point. May re-seed; scatter seeds in autumn after summer heat abates.
