'Sedoro Blue Elf' is a new intergeneric hybrid that combines the best of both parents--it has the steel-blue rosettes of foliage from Orostachys and profuse clusters of dark pink flowers from the Sedum side of the family. This is a lovely, low-growing succulent ground cover whose blue rosettes give it a tropical look though it is hardy down to zone 4! In late summer into fall, this blue carpet is smothered with hundreds of dark pink fragrant flowers that attract butterflies and honey bees. Combines very nicely with other succulents; looks terrific growing amongst rocks. Beautiful, well-behaved, easy to grow, & feeds our pollinators -- this plant has it all!

The SunSparkler Series of Sedums is a favorite of ours here at Romence Gardens. They are easy & durable and come in a variety of colors that mix & match well with each other, as well as other Sedums and succulents, or even most sun-loving garden plants. Check out these beauties and prepare to be delighted!

Homeowner Growing Tips

Grow in full sun, in well-drained soil. Tolerates some light shade in hot Southern climates. Tolerates clay soil; does well in sandy or gravelly soils. This slow spreader is good for tucking between stepping stones, amongst rocks, or spilling over retaining walls. Cut back spent flower stems or dead foliage in late winter. Divide clumps every 3 years, if desired.
