Notable Feature about this Vaierty, Alcea rosea 'Spotlight Mars Magic', is that it will come back year after year, for many years. Not like regular hollyhocks that only have a life span of two years, before reseeding (mixed results of new growth or nothing). Alcea rosea 'Spotlight Mars Magic' is a fantastic variety for the back of borders or cottage gardens. It produces single, bright red flowers throughout the summer.

Homeowner Growing Tips

Plant in average to moist soil that drains well. Pinch back early for a bushier plant. Slightly drought tolerant, for very short periods of time.

Very satisfied

All of the plants we ordered from Romence came in the most amazing packaging. The plants were healthy when they arrived and never skipped a beat after planting.
I highly recommend Romence. We will be ordering from them again next spring.
