This Sedum received its name because the clusters of flowers resemble those of the Daphne shrub. One of our most colorful Stonecrops, it will form a cascading mound of succulent, powdery-blue leaves with contrasting centers of creamy yellow, and clusters of starry soft-pink flowers on the ends of stems in late summer. May develop reddish tones in the cool weather of autumn. This is a natural choice for borders and edging, for the rock garden, in mixed containers, or over walls in sunny spots. Native to Japan. This award-winning variety is another staff favorite for its chunky texture and multi-color contributions to the garden!

Homeowner Growing Tips

Grows well in full sun and well drained soils. Tolerates some light shade, especially in the hotter climates. Tolerates clay soil; does well in sandy or gravelly soils. This slow spreader is good for tucking between stepping stones, amongst rocks, or spilling over retaining walls. Cut back spent flower stems or dead foliage in late winter. Divide clumps every 3 years, if desired.

Water Requirements: Water soil fully, then et mostly dry out between waterings.
