This compact Joe Pye Weed has dome-shaped mauve-purple flower heads that reach up to 15" across. The flowers are held on strong, upright, wine-red stems with dark green leaves. 'Gateway' is very attractive to butterflies. Eupatorium maculatum is a US native and requires very little care.
