Homeowner Growing Tips

Grow in sun to part shade. Prefers well-drained soil; amend with compost before planting. Keep moist. In spring, apply a high-phosphorus granular fertilizer. Remove spent flower stalks to encourage re-bloom later in the season. Tired or mildew-infected foliage can be cut back hard in summer to rejuvenate. Best in cooler climates.
