Cimicifuga ramosa 'Pink Spike' has the same great growth habit of other Bugbane except with more color to the blooms. The pink-tinged bottlebrush flowers bloom above the purple-bronze, deeply cut foliage. Looks good in mass and also as a specimen plant when mature. It is a tall beautiful plant for shade.

great foliage

The dramatic foliage provides nice contrast among hostas and other medium-greens. The plants I installed this season are holding their own with minimal transplant shock and look likely to survive the winter.
