Homeowner Growing Tips

Grow these tall, stately plants in the back of the border or along walls or fences. Hollyhocks prefer full sun and moist, well-drained, moderately fertile soil. May require staking. May re-seed if not deadheaded; move seedlings when very young, as they resent disturbance once established. Watch for Japanese beetles in early summer. Clean up dead leaves & debris in autumn to prevent fungal diseases from overwintering.

Water Requirements: Water soil fully, then let slightly dry out before next watering.
