- Unique, bright blue flowers
- Flowers when few other shrubs are still in bloom
- Doesn't mind hot, dry sites
Caryopteris x clandonensis 'Dark Knight' works wonderfully as a border plant, in beds, or in containers because of its gorgeous flowers and compact habit. In late summer into fall the electric blue blooms grace the silvery-gray, fragrant foliage, and don't stop until frost.

Homeowner Growing Tips: Grow in full sun. Happy in well-drained to dry, poor, or sandy soils. In northern climates, Caryopteris will die back each year and resprout from the base of the plant in spring; a winter mulch is beneficial, but avoid the stems. Prune the dead branches back in the spring.
