Caryopteris x clandonensis 'Dark Knight'

$18.99

Pot Size: 5.25 Inch Square Pot

  • Unique, bright blue flowers
  • Flowers when few other shrubs are still in bloom
  • Doesn't mind hot, dry sites

Caryopteris x clandonensis 'Dark Knight' works wonderfully as a border plant, in beds, or in containers because of its gorgeous flowers and compact habit. In late summer into fall the electric blue blooms grace the silvery-gray, fragrant foliage, and don't stop until frost.

Uses: Landscapes, Borders, Containers, Cottage Gardens, Flower Beds, Mass Planting, Rock Gardens, Xeriscaping
Critter Resistance: Deer
Nature Attraction: Bees, Butterflies, Beneficial Insects
Notable Features: Cut Flower, Fragrant, Aromatic foliage
Growth Habit: Mounding

Homeowner Growing Tips: Grow in full sun. Happy in well-drained to dry, poor, or sandy soils. In northern climates, Caryopteris will die back each year and resprout from the base of the plant in spring; a winter mulch is beneficial, but avoid the stems. Prune the dead branches back in the spring.

My plants were shipped across country to Oregon in two boxes. the only hitch was that the shipping company decided to put the boxes on different trucks. Despite that the plants all arrived in good condition, due largely to the care taken in preparing them for shipping at Romence.
These plants have done very well in my garden. They are my favorites out of the several varieties I ordered.
