Pot Size: 5.25 Inch Square Pot

  • Large, glossy, wine-red leaves
  • Clusters of golden daisy-like flowers in summer
  • Makes quite a statement at the side of a pond

Has rich wine-red to chocolate-brown leaves with purple undersides that are contrasted in the summer by yellow-orange, daisy-like flowers. The flowers sit atop bright garnet-red stems, which make it a great cut flower. It is deer resistant. A beautiful addition to any shady garden.

Uses: Borders, Mass Planting, Cut Flower
Nature Attraction: Butterflies
Critter Resistance: Deer Resistant
Growth Habit: Upright, Mounding

Homeowner Growing Tips: Grow in moist, moderately fertile soil. Although perfectly shade tolerant, Ligularia can take some sun in reliably moist sites. In average yards, however, shade from hot afternoon sun to prevent wilting, especially in southern climates. Regular deep watering is required during the heat of summer. Avoid windy sites. Cut off spent flower stalks after blooming.
