I had to look hard to find this plant. They are native to our area of W.NC but not in this color. The blooms are very sculptural and have been lovely starting in late summer. Really a burgundy color not pink here. Plants arrived in perfect condition.
- Excellent in a large border
- Can take full or partial shade
- Good in a woodland garden or by a pond
This is a plant that deserves much more attention. Domed burgundy flowers are held high on red stems above fine cut foliage. It is biennial and self seeds. This is highly attractive to insects, especially bees.
