  • Unique yellow flowers on an unusual plant
  • No significant pests or diseases
  • Substitute this for a flowering shrub in a shady yard

Looking for something different? A little-known member of the Hydrangea family, this graceful plant has large, toothed, maple-like leaves that are a rich green. It has beautiful, waxy, yellow, bell-shaped flowers that arch downwards slightly. When the flowers are done, interesting brown seed pods appear. Yellow Wax Bells is deer resistant and has a graceful, shrub-like habit. Adds elegance to any landscape. Kirengeshoma is Japanese for Yellow Lotus Blossom Hat.

Uses: Borders, Landscape, Containers
Critter Resistance: Deer
Growth Habit: Upright

Homeowner Growing Tips: Grow in partial shade, in a site protected from the wind. Prefers moist, acidic soil; amend with compost before planting. Mulch with leaves or shredded bark. May be divided, if necessary, in spring when growth appears.
