  • Truly unique with narrow, wavy golden leaves
  • Perfect for the Hosta collector, or in combo pots
  • Hosta of the Year, 2016

Hosta 'Curly Fries' is a fun miniature variety that is perfect for containers, at the front of borders, and in woodland gardens. It forms a clump of narrow, extremely rippled, chartreuse foliage that performs best in morning sun. As the plant matures it will develop red speckeld petioles. In mid-summer the lavender flowers top the whimsical foliage adding even more interest to the plant. Voted one of the top 25 Hosta varieties and one of the top three miniatures in American Hosta Society polls. Why not add a side of "Fries" to your order?

Uses: Beds, Borders, Landscapes, Cut Flower

Homeowner Growing Tips: Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained soil with high organic content and slightly acidic to neutral pH. They prefer slightly sandy soil over heavy clays as they need aeration for the roots. Grow in high-filtered or dappled sunlight--they can tolerate morning sun but not hot afternoon sun. Hostas are prone to slugs and deer browsing, though some kinds with thicker foliage may not be damaged as badly. Apply slug bait in early spring before the leaves have unfurled to prevent damage. Divide large clumps, if necessary, in spring when sprouts appear, or late summer. Remove dead foliage from the garden in late fall to early winter.
