Homeowner Growing Tips: Daylilies are tough, adaptable plants, making them a great choice for gardeners of any experience level. They will grow in almost any soil, from normal to slightly wet to dry. Daylilies can be divided every 3-4 years by digging up the clump and dividing into smaller pieces that contain at least 3 growth eyes each. Divide in spring or fall. Only deadhead if desired for cosmetic purposes. Not necessary for extending the bloom time.
