Beautiful pink flowers are in abundance in early summer and make quite an impact. The simple, lance shaped leaves are a rich green color and are semi-evergreen. It is deer resistant and attracts hummingbirds, as well as butterflies. The sap of its roots have been made into laundry soap since old-timey days!
